Maps, Data & Government Information Centre

The Maps, Data, and Government Information Centre (MaDGIC) is an essential resource for students, staff and faculty who wish to integrate data about the spaces and societies in which we live, work, and play with their learning, teaching, and research at Trent. We facilitate access to a world of research materials and technologies such as maps and other cartographic resources, geospatial and statistical data, government information, and specialized software, spaces, and equipment to work with our collections.

MaDGIC supports teaching, research, and collaboration across the university and with Trent community partners. We provide in-class and virtual instruction related to data management, analysis, and visualization. We also offer technical support for many software programs and tools used to find, collect, analyze, visualize, manage and share data.

Drop by the MaDGIC office in BL 415 or contact madgichelp@trentu.ca to discuss your needs or explore our collections, services, and spaces below.
